Beauty of Indian Crafts

For those who like Indian arts, crafts and clothes, there is a lovely exhibition (Textiles: The Soul of India) going on till December 20th at the Japan Folk Crafts Museum (Mingeikan) http://www.mingeikan.or.jp This is a private collection from a Japanese lady. The beautiful clothes are displayed beautifully in a wonderful old Japanese building. It is well worth a visit.

Kids days out in summer

If you don't know what to do with the kids in summer, two places I have heard worth visiting are the Ghibli Museum and Kidzania. The Ghibli Museum is in Mitaka (1-1-83 Shimorenjaku) on the Chuo Line. This is an animae museum and great for grown ups as well. Tickets for this place have to be bought beforehand from Lawson. There are time slots allocated to avoid over-crowding. Kidzania is also very popular and requires advance booking. Further information can be found at http://kidzania.jp
